What equipment do I need to learn bass with Gigajam?
You simply need any bass guitar. Electric or acoustic will do. Reading lesson notes, watching videos and practising with playalong files are the core activities in learning to play and all can be done with any bass.
If you have access to a Midi bass or bass controller then you will also be able to record your performances so that Xtractor can analyse them and display the results to you on screen.
Computer-wise you need a PC that runs Windows 2000/XP/Vista or a Mac running OS X 10.4+.
Does Gigajam teach me to play songs?
Yes. Rather than teach well known songs step-by-step, and therefore only learning that given song, Gigajam teaches the essential core knowledge and skills that slowly build upon each other enabling you to learn any song, straight from the sheet music.
How much is there in one Gigajam Level?
Each level has ten lessons and each of them has multiple learning objectives. Each section of a lesson has multiple exercise or technique videos and play-along files. Have a look at the course content page for a run-down on each lesson. Another way to answer this question is to ask the next one.
Is a Gigajam Level the same as a Music Grade?
Gigajam Level 1 is equivelent to the skills learned in Debut Grade through to Grade 3. Gigajam Level 2 equates to Grade 4, and Level 3 to Grade 5.
How do I buy Gigajam?
You can purchase Gigajam bass lessons online in our Bass Shop, you'll need a credit card. Our payments are safely and securely processed by PayPal.
